An authoritarian regime has never boded well with people in history. Dictators can be self-centered and they have put industrial and military development before the welfare of their subjects. Yes, dictatorships do tend to be technologically advanced, as the dictator controls it all without any interference. So, one can observe that the power to do it all is desirable, but the dictator must be just and fair.
What is Dictatorship and Democracy ? On the side of democracy, the power of the people is important. However, due to differences in the opinion on development, the country’s progress may be stagnated. But, the social reforms that have taken place in democracies are commendable. So, a utopian dictatorship where rights are respected is the ideal authority for any country, provided the voices of the people are heard enough (Totalitarianism).
