Gene therapy has contributed to enhanced nutritional value and crop yield, all of which are directly related to the food on your plate.

Built environment

Science in our daily life !! One more place where we almost never notice the science connection is….guess?!! Well, it is your home!! Or for that matter any built environment. Your school, or the office or factory where your Dad or Mom works is also there because of science. Healthcare and medicine is one more area which has a strong science connection, but we hardly tend to notice. You just need to enter any neighbourhood hospital or clinic and see for yourself. We all know the kind of advances that are taking place in the medical field. State-of-the-art medical equipment and operation theatres, thanks to the advances in areas such as electronics, robotics and AI, have revolutionized treatment procedures. So too have the scientific advances in the pharmaceutical industry. Cures have been found for many health conditions, hitherto considered incurable, thanks to the scientific advancements.
