Why Paintings Never Die ? Paintings have been used as a form of expression ever since the seventeenth century. Have you ever wondered why aren’t they outdated yet? Throughout the centuries, ever since mankind began to evolve, many things have been brought into this world. Out of those, many have been neglected and hence, have perished. Easily available, mass produced, and factory-made articles tend to replace authentic, old-fashioned ones. So, have you ever wondered why paintings are still loved by many and are produced and sold till date?
There are of course, plenty of replacements for paintings, which are more mechanically and easily produced, such as photographs. But, no photograph can capture what doesn’t exist! This brings us to the hidden agenda of this piece of writing. Paintings can be used to express and put forth ideas of an individual clearly and deliberately, and can also bring changes in an individual or group, because of their influential characteristics.
Painting can tell a story:
Every painting can tell a story, but we can read it only if we look for it. Every nuanced little detail can be a plot twist in the painting, only if we pay attention. If we know to do so, we can sit in front of a painting not only for a mere few minutes, but also for hours! No photograph can give an artist the same satisfaction a finished painting does, because, just the idea of bringing one’s thought into existence gives any artist immense pleasure.
The reason, Why Paintings Never Die :
Hence, that is why paintings have been made, sold, purchased and admired for more than four centuries now. Painting also contributes to one’s personal growth as it is a beautiful form of self- expression. Therefore, I can confidently say that, till the bane of the human species, paintings will never become outdated.
