The twin cities in India !! Hyderabad and Secunderabad are one of the twin cities in India and I can say both hold close ties to my heart. You may wonder why. When I was around the age of 1 to 2, my family resided in Secunderabad and last year I visited the majestic city, Hyderabad. It was a five-night, six-day trip during which I explored several places such as Charminar, Golconda Fort, Birla Mandir, Birla Science Centre, Nehru Zoological Park, Jagannatha Swami Temple, Chilkur Balaji Temple, NTR Gardens and Lumbini Park. Among all, Birla Mandir and Birla Science Centre left a lasting impression on me.
Birla Mandir is an exotic place to visit if you crave tranquility. The entire temple is in white marble and is situated on top of a hill. Surrounded by pure white serenity with a view of the Hussain Sagar lake is an experience one must not miss in the twin cities in India !
The sculptures of various Hindu Gods present at The B. M. Birla Science Centre captivate the art lovers. I was drawn to Mrs. Birla’s porcelain doll and glass collection and the gold coins India had received as a souvenir. The Planetarium and Dinosaurium are other fascinating sections to explore.
From the spiritual calmness of Birla Mandir to the scientific wonders of the Birla Science Centre, Hyderabad offered me unique places with memories for life. It opened my eyes to the vibrant culture I had been missing out on. Take a trip like this and let Hyderabad leave a lasting impression on you too. Just wow the twin cities in India !
