It is good to read books and know the importance of reading. What comes to your mind when you think about books? For me it’s the thrill of diving into a whole new world. From fantasy to romance, from thrillers to dramas, reading opens minds and hearts to the fun world of imagination. Authors create a stimulating experience through their expressive language.
Those who read books would know the feel to divulge into them, be it the nail-biting thrillers that keep one on the edge of their seats or those feel-good stories that leave us in tears.
When I talk about books, I don’t mean the e-books or the audio books that seem to be popular these days. I mean the paperback copies, the ones that can be held in our hands, the rustling of whose pages are so pleasant to hear and the faint smell of which can delight any reader. Trust me, the feel when you read such books is nothing compared to the ones available online.
There’s ‘Famous Five’ by Enid Blyton, to experience the twists and turns that come with every mystery. ‘Harry Potter ‘by JK Rowling, takes you on an adventure through the mystical realm of magic. Books by Sudha Murthy show great success starts from humble beginnings. Bless the lady! Dive into books by Ruskin Bond for a glimpse at life near the majestic mountains of North India. And the list goes on. Actually saying, Reading improves our communication skills. Know the importance of reading !!
