Why music heals? “Music is life and that is why our hearts beat!” A power packed quote indeed!! Throughout my life, I have always found solace and inspiration in music. It has been an integral part of my existence, and I believe this holds true for everyone.
Music can help people express and process their emotions. Listening or playing music can provide an outlet for feelings that might be difficult to verbalize. Listening to music can lower levels of the stress hormone, cortisol. It can help people relax and reduce anxiety. It can be stress busters.
Why music heals ? Yes, again…Music acts as my constant companion, offering comfort and understanding to my inner self. It becomes that imaginary friend I need for my inner child. Music can make me feel connected to the world and even if no one understands me, there will be a song that connects with my feelings. Hence, it is highly likely music can influence anyone’s mood and emotional states.
Upbeat music can improve and energy levels, while calming music can help with relaxation and sleep. Thus, music stands as the most effective therapy for my soul!
